Bank value nacional of Ultramarino 

The Bank value Nacional Ultramarino was created in 1864 in Lisbon: she then played the part of bank of issue for the Portuguese territories of overseas. The Bank value Nacional Ultramarino had two subsidiaries, established in 1929: the colonial Anglo-Portuguese bank and of overseas and the Bank Free-Portuguese of Overseas. In 1993, Caixa Geral de Depósitos, a Portuguese public financial institution, became the majority shareholder of the Bank value Nacional Ultramarino. Then, the latter amalgamated with Caixa Geral de Depósitos in 2001. The Bank value Nacional Ultramarino is always in activity with Macao: it is charged to issue banknotes of the pataca which is the official currency of Macao.
