This series commemorates the centenary of the Military decoration, created on January 22nd, 1852 by Louis-Napoleon (Napoleon III). By creating the military decoration, prince-president Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte intended to reward the merits for the best soldiers and non-commissioned officers. Deprived of ranks, it is the only honorary demonstration which puts on an equal footing those to which it is allotted, of humblest with most prestigious.The house of the collector, proposes to you this complete series of 12 values, all the stamps are Mint NH gums of origin.
