Ceylon: Used stamp collection all different
Sri Lanka was called Ceylon under the British Empire, i.e. until 1972. This insular country is located in South Asia, and more precisely at the south-east of India. La Maison du Collectionneur selected for you a batch of stamps emitted in Sri Lanka. This state is famous for its luxuriant vegetation: you will be able to thus acquire certain stamps illustrating of the flowers and the green landscapes. Local fauna is also represented through birds like the grackle or the parakeet of Layard. A series emitted in 1973 on painting in the temples is also present.
The South-East Asia is with the honor in this batch thanks to stamps of collection coming from Sri Lanka. This country is an island located at the south-east of India and its coasts are bordered by the Indian Ocean. It acquired its independence in 1948. Sri Lanka shelters an extremely rich fauna and a flora. Among the sets of themes present in this unit are thus Sri Lankian landscapes as well as a series on the birds emitted in 1970. You will find several species like the bulbul oreillard, Galloperdrix of Ceylon or the bearded one with gold face.
