    This former Soviet republic is surrounded by Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran. It is at the time of the first Republic independent of Armenia exit of the Ottoman Empire, in 1918, after the Armenian genocide of 1915, which the first Armenian stamps appeared.
